I used to think that cruises were only for old people. Then I discovered that when I was finishing up a project that a cruise was a great way to focus. Most days during the day people would go off on excursions leaving me to focus on work. Then in the evening there was food and drink. I didn't need to waste any time doing chores. And more to the point, there were attractive women in revealing summery clothes once my workday was done.

One cruise was out of Miami around the Caribbean for a week. The first evening, as we left Miami Harbor, I noticed two women having a drink at the bar. I casually came up beside them and ordered myself a drink off the barman.

"How're you doing?" I asked.

"Great. And you? You're on your own?"

"Yes. It may seem weird but I come on cruises to get work done. I'm not that interested in the excursions, I've been all round the Caribbean before. And I don't need any discount jewelry. How about you?"

"We're together."

I noticed now that they both wore wedding rings.
