Nicole kept telling herself this was the last night. The end. No more. In barely more than twelve hours she'd be on a plane, back to her life. She wouldn't feel out of place, or inadequate, or any of it. She'd be back to the choices she'd made, confident in her own little world.

It hadn't been a bad trip. More fun that she would've guessed, actually. She'd only come at all because her husband had basically forced her, and from the moment she left the house she'd only occasionally felt out of place and awkward. The girls were fine.
