When Sparks Fly Chapter 7: And Baby Makes Three?

Ever since Ed's premonition of her pregnancy at the art festival, Artemis has been thinking about the morning sickness, the dizziness, the tenderness in her breasts and the tiredness she feels regardless of the amount of sleep she gets. It has been eighteen years since her first pregnancy so the symptoms aren't fresh in her mind but she remembers the bouts with morning sickness and feeling exhausted in the early evening. After leaving Joyce's house, Artemis stops at a drug store and picks up a home pregnancy test.

She hurries home. She puts the box of broken rhinestone jewelry that Joyce gave her in her studio after letting Sherlock out. He is happy to see her. She pets him and plays with him for a while. He grabs a tug-o-war rope toy from his toy collection in the studio and keeps pushing it at her hand. She grabs it and they battle back and forth, each making grunting and growling noises. Sherlock finally gets it away from her. He runs around the yard and then towards her at full speed, veering out of the way at the last second when she makes a grab for the rope. She pretends to be upset that he has outfoxed her.

After a few minutes, she feigns disinterest and grabs an empty bucket from her studio to take a tour of the gardens. She pulls weeds here and there along with dead blossoms and throws them in the bucket.
