Sheila awoke the next morning alone in the bed which didn't surprise her in the least. She looked over at the clock and saw that it was already past eleven in the morning. That was what she loved most about Sunday mornings; she could sleep in as late as she wanted. She rolled back onto her back and had just closed her eyes when she heard someone clearing her voice. Sheila forced herself not to smile when she heard Caroline clearing her voice a little louder this time. Sheila still didn't move even when she heard footsteps coming toward her.

Had she been just a hair bit more awake, she would had realized sooner than she did that those footsteps were approaching the bed at a rapid pace. As it was, she opened her eyes just as Caroline was jumping upon the bed. Being young and agile as she was, she had just enough time to prepare herself for Caroline landing on top of her. Still it knocked the breath out of her for a second before she recovered to see a giggling Caroline looking down at her, her face showing how truly happy she was.
