When she woke up the next morning, she found that she was alone once again in the bed. This surprised her a little as she felt Caroline would wake her up before getting up and venturing out. But then Caroline was always one to surprise her and she did so again. Sheila got on up, going to the bathroom. She heard talking from the kitchen long before she entered to see her father at the table drinking a cup of coffee already dressed in a pair of blue Khaki slacks and a light blue dress shirt. Caroline was still in her pajamas and was helping her mom who was wearing a long cotton gown as she cooked breakfast. They were both talking up a storm and didn't even notice that she had entered the kitchen.

"I see I'm the last one up," Sheila said getting their attention.

"As usual," her mother said with a smile.

"Hey I'm a growing girl who needs her sleep," Sheila said with a laugh.

"Oh she always sleeps late at home," Caroline said without thinking and ...
