Bill e-mailed Deb back a couple of days later saying that he had sold her pictures to a magazine. He'd be sending her a cheque for her cut of how much he had received and apparently the mag loved them so much they wondered if she'd do another shoot for them. He also said that his contact at the video company loved the pics as well and would be in touch soon to discuss details.

Sure enough, the following day Deb got a call from a guy called Michael. They were on the phone for nearly an hour, although she'd gone into the other room when she heard who was calling so I had no idea how the conversation was going. Eventually she came back into the living room and from the look on her face I thought the whole thing was off.

"You look kinda down, is everything OK, what did he say?"

"Yes, yes, everything's fine. I'm not down, it's just..."

"What? Come on babe, you can tell me anything."
