Lacie was an old friendship with a new twist.

We'd been friends for many years, both before and after we both got married to our respective spouses. We were the picture of the stereotypical "couple" friends, and things had continued in a fairly platonic vein the entire time until a week ago, when Lacie and I went drinking and our typical playful flirting somehow turned into me fucking her halfway out of my truck outside the bar while patrons listened to a cover band.

We'd said goodbye warmly that night, but there were a lot of open questions in the air, and I hadn't heard from her since. In fairness, I hadn't been extremely eager to broach the subject myself, insofar as doing so could easily wreck both of our respective households. So, when my wife asked if I'd had fun, I said yes and left it at that.

A few days later, we all got together to watch a game at a bar. I was curious to see how we'd interact; would she be dropping hints? Did her husband know? Would she be expecting more from me? I was actively nervous at this point, and drank my first two beers quick enough that my wife told me to actively slow down. I did, but I was still edgy.
