Cal sat staring out at the horizon. The view was fabulous. He could see Seattle in the distance and a large part of Puget Sound was spread out below him. He was sitting on a natural stone bench situated in a shallow cave close to the top of a mountain. The only way to get to the spot was a narrow parlous 2' wide shelf like trail that crossed a cliff face.

Cal had found the spot while deer hunting. He was still in high school at the time and only had the weekends to hunt. He had followed the trail thinking it might lead him to a big buck. The first trip up the trail was slow and difficult. One edge of the trail dropped off straight down 1500' and the other was a sheer rock wall. He had hugged the rock wall grabbing any hand hold he could find the entire length of the trail.

He didn't realize how late in the day it was until he stepped into the shallow cave. He knew he couldn't make it back down before full dark so he decided to spend the night. He slept wrapped in his emergency space blanket and watched the sun come up over the sound the next morning. As he watched the sunrise he knew he would be back. As he was about to leave he spotted something on the back wall. When he examined it he found it was three gliphs carved into the wall just above a small shelf in the stone.

As he looked them over he thought one looked like a penis, another ...
