ENJOYING AN EMPTY NEST: CHAPTER 2

"Are you about ready?" Scott called down the hall to his wife.

It was a warm Friday afternoon in early June and they were going to his best friend's lake house. Bryan had inherited the cabin from his grandfather a few months ago and Scott had helped him fix it up this Spring. Nothing major, just paint and replacing a few rotten boards on the deck. The two men had also put extra bracing under the deck so they could make one major improvement, installing a hot tub. Bryan had invited Scott and Ashley to spend a week there. They had been eagerly looking forward to warmer weather so they could accept his invitation and enjoy the lake.

Scott and Ashley had been looking forward to a romantic week at the lake alone. They arrived on Friday and that night they made love under the stars next to a fire. The next morning they took a hike and explored around the lake. They discovered that only one other house had a view of the cabin where they were staying and it looked like it hadn't been occupied in quite some time.

They returned to Bryan's cabin and decided to have a picnic next to the water that afternoon. Scott found a blanket and went out on the deck to drink a beer while Ashley changed into her bathing suit. When she joined him a few minutes later, Scott's jaw dropped. He had never seen ...
