Chapter 9: The Surveillance

Durah Omondi wasn't the only one following Latonya Jackson's red Jeep Liberty. The art teacher from Latonya's daughter's school followed the Jeep with Savannah and her two friends to make sure they got home safely. Tom Chapman was following the red Jeep too.

He was parked down the street from Grace and Joy's house knowing Latonya Jackson would drop the two sisters off at home. She pulled to the curb and he watched as the two sisters got out of the Jeep. Latonya waited for them to get into the house before pulling away. He followed, leaving at least a block between them.

They didn't go right home. Instead they drove south on Highway 175 towards the Brewers' stadium. They continued past the stadium and slowed to a stop at a red light where the freeway ended. He was seven cars behind them, making sure to stay in the same lane.

He almost missed the turn when Latonya quickly changed lanes to turn left onto Greenfield Avenue. He managed to make it through the intersection in time to see her turn into the Wal-Mart parking lot. He followed and saw her park. He found a parking space near the red Liberty and got out as they headed into the store. ...
