Chapter 11: The Clean Up

Tom Chapman was getting restless. He couldn't stop thinking about Savannah Jackson. The twelve year old girl dominated his thoughts. He had to work that day but thoughts of her in his playroom kept invading his thoughts. He had to strike and strike soon.

When he left work, he drove to the Wendy's where she sometimes hung out with her friends. He looked for her mother's red Jeep Liberty but didn't see it when he passed her house but it could be parked in the garage. It was dusk and there were lights on in their upper flat.

He pulled into the parking lot at Wendy's and went inside. He looked around the dining room and was pleasantly surprised to see Savannah there with her two friends Grace and Joy. The girls were laughing as they ate their burgers and fries.

Savannah looked adorable in her grown up outfit. She wore tight fitting flowered off-white jeans in a pink and green floral print tucked into tan boots with scrunched up dusty rose socks. Her sweater was the same dusty rose and she had an off-white scarf...one of those infinity scarves...around her neck. An olive green army style jacket hung on the back of her chair.
