We had travelled for a day but finally arrived at the hotel for the weekend family reunion. My wife and I had agreed at the last minute, at the request of her parents, to join the extended family for a full day of bbq and party. It would be the first time in 5 or so years that everyone would be together because of the pandemic. Agreeing and then arriving late meant that we could get one hotel room instead of our usual two, meaning that there would be four of us in one room. My wife and our younger daughter would share a bed, and me with our older son. No sexy time for me I thought to myself, but what could I do? I didn't sleep much and before I knew it we were getting ourselves ready in the morning to spend the day with 50 of my wife's closest relatives.
