I was spending a late evening happily chatting with someone in a chatroom discussing holiday (vacation for US readers) photographs when they sent me a link to one particular photograph which, when I followed it, caused a sharp intake of breath and memories to come flooding back.

It was a pretty tame photograph of two naked people, a man and a woman, standing side by side, but my sudden intake of breath was caused because I remembered having a similar photograph taken many years previously but it was something that I had completely forgotten about.

I was on holiday in the Bahamas with my then boyfriend who, for the purpose of this account, I will call Steve. We had an apartment in a resort a little way outside of the main town on Grand Bahama and had spent the first couple of days just settling in and relaxing by the pool. The resort itself was quite quiet, possibly only two-thirds occupied, but we were out of the school holiday period so there were no children running around.

That meant that I was more relaxed about sunbathing topless by the pool. Many of the other women holidaymakers were a good 20 years older than us and were equally comfortable with their breasts on show.
