Ken and Ann were the only ones in the group skeptical about the ghost stories. The house at the end of the street was up for demolition in a few days. No one stayed for more than a day or two before moving out, and the current owners decided that the land might be salable without the old house. The stories were of presences in the house, apparently a young woman and man who were murdered the night before their wedding by a jealous ex-boyfriend in the early 1920's.

Ann rolled her eyes. 'Another urban legend.' Ken nodded his agreement.

'If you think it's such a crock, then you two spend the whole night together in the house,' one of the group challenged.

Taking on the challenge, Ken and Ann set off for the haunted house with pillows, blankets, flashlights, and a six-pack of beer. Although they were only friends, Ken had always admired Ann's body.
