It had been a long day at work, so when I got home, I went straight up to take a shower. I had just finished and turned the water off when I heard the door downstairs close, meaning Kris had finally got home from her parents' place. "Hey babe," I called down as I wrapped myself in a towel.

"Hey, how was your day?" she called up to me. I could hear her keys jangling as she hung them on her hook.

"The usual," I replied as I started coming down the narrow stairs. It was an old-style farmhouse we had purchased at auction after the owner had passed, and whoever designed it must not have been terribly tall because my head almost touched the ceiling all the way down and my shoulders were broad enough that I had to turn slightly to avoid getting stuck. I came over to her and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek. Her curly auburn hair was pulled back in a ponytail because of the heat, and she was wearing a short blue pleated skirt and a gray spaghetti-strap top that did nothing to hide her cleavage. "Any ideas for dinner tonight?" I asked as I got a glass of water and tried to hide the growing erection that was poking the towel out at an odd angle.

"No, mom made stuffed pepper earlier so I'm still pretty good. Maybe we can delivery later if you're not hungry now."
