of another was lost in getting it repaired and the cost definitely put a dent in their ready cash. They decided to camp an extra night or so instead of staying in a motel and thought that would balance things out. It did help with the money problem but the first night when they camped in a state park in South Dakota, it rained. Not just rained but poured, letting water flow onto the floor of their tent, soaking their sleeping bags. This was just the beginning. They did get to see the mountains but more problems cut into their funds and they ended up cutting their trip short by several days.

Probably the most surprising thing about the whole trip was that it didn't get them down. They were young and in love and managed to look on all the mishaps as funny. Afterwards, whenever they talked about that trip they were able to laugh at the troubles and a few years later they did manage another trip out west without all the problems.

Sharon reached over and gave Bob's hand a squeeze. She smiled and said, "I seem to remember even that first night camping we didn't let soaked sleeping bags or a half inch of water stop us and we made love three times before morning."

Bob gave a small laugh. "You don't think a little thing like a bit of dampness would keep me from your lovely body, now do you?"

"No more than it kept me from yours."

They were silent for another couple of minutes as they drove farther along the coast past a couple more resort type places.

Bob smiled again. "We always did seem to like that kind of activity. I don't believe that in all the years we've missed more than three or four days in a row making love. Oh, except when the kids were born and even then we found other things to do for a few days."

Sharon smiled and nodded. Inside she was thinking it had now been several years since Bob could perform or that she could engage in such activity without feeling a bit of tightness in her chest. Still, she thought, in over seventy years neither had ever lost interest in sex and neither had ever wanted anyone besides each other. They still slept together nude, bare bodies pressed firmly to the other. They still engaged in a lot of serious kissing and petting was not forgotten. Sure, it would be nice if they could still manage something more but they had had a good run.

It had been a couple of miles without another building when they saw a sign. It read "Xanadu Resort, « mile. The last resort on the point and the best for lovers."

"That's it," Bob commented and slowed slightly.

They had come across a description of this resort on the net and had decided to see if they could make one more trip. The place sounded wonderful. Individual cabins, separated from each other. Each actually on the coast, each with a fireplace, a screened porch with hot tub and a private strip of sand beach. The picture looked at least as inviting as anywhere they had ever visited. There were also many hiking trails going farther up along the coast and throughout the expanse of forest beyond the cabins. However, both doubted that they would be able to hike much if any on the trails. Stiff joints and other problems now restricted such activities even if they had once thought nothing of a fifteen mile hike with full packs. They had decided to go for several days and reserved a cabin, hoping medical problems would allow this to still be a happy trip.

Around a turn the resort appeared on their left and the road itself ended in a wide turn around. The building itself didn't look that impressive. Just a small office and what might have been a longue or bar or something like that. Well, the accommodations were individual cabins and were spread out along the coast beyond the office. The cabins had housekeeping facilities and pre-made meals could be ordered which only required heating. They had decided to go this route and didn't expect to even visit the main building again after registration. Now they could see a small gravel access road leading in the direction farther along the coast toward where the cabins were shown to be.

Bob parked the car and climbed out. He moved around the car to open the door for Sharon as he had done for seventy-five years. He thought nothing of this. Or of holding her chair when she was seated at a table. Or of opening doors for her. He had always done such things. Sharon definitely appreciated these gestures, but had noticed that others often looked on them with surprise. The surprised looks always made her smile to herself, almost gloating. She wondered what those people would think if they knew that they were just the tip of the iceberg. Bob would often do something like stroking her hair as he passed. Or bringing her a single rose for no particular occasion. And he still always gave her a mushy card for their anniversary, her birthday and Mother's Day. And sometimes just because. She liked being married to a romantic. Perhaps because she was also one.

He held out his hand to help her out of the car and together they walked, although slowly, into the office. To the girl at the desk he said, "Hi. Dixon. We have a reservation."

She smiled in response. "Of course. She glanced at her computer and handed him a registration card. "We have you in the Beyond Eden cabin. That's the last one down the access road. You can park right out in front of it."

Bob filled out the card and handed it and his credit card back. The girl ran the card and returned it along with a pair of keys. "Have a happy stay," she said. Then added, "Many of our guests find their stay here seems to be life changing, making everything else better also."

Bob smiled. "That would be a wonderful outcome. Thank you."

They returned to the car and Bob once more held the door for Sharon to enter. He made his way around to the driver's side and climbed into his own seat. They headed down the gravel road and passed several other cabins. At last they came to the end of the road where a small turn around let them park right in front of the cabin with its small sign saying Beyond Eden.

He helped Sharon out and then reached inside the trunk to get their single small duffle. On trips like this they never took a lot, so one small soft sided suitcase sufficed for the two of them.

They unlocked the door and Bob held it as Sharon entered before he followed her inside. They looked around. The cabin had only one large room. At one side were the simple kitchen fixtures: sink, refrigerator and a small stove with a table just large enough for two near them. Towards the center was a large stone wood burning fireplace with a small pile of split logs and kindling next to it. Against the far wall was a king sized four poster bed. Windows beyond the bed looked out onto the coast where they could see small waves breaking. Next to the fire place a small door opened into a bathroom with a large shower. There was also a door near the end of the room which opened onto a screened porch with the promised hot tub.

Sharon looked at the table beside the kitchen facilities. It had a linen table cloth and two places set with china and silverware. In the center was a pair of silver candle sticks with long white tapers. There was also a basket which contained some chocolates, cookies and some other small fancy items. A note in the basket read: "Champagne and glasses are in the refrigerator Please enjoy this and have a happy stay. Xanadu is for lovers."

She smiled and said, "I can see they knew we were coming."

Bob laughed. "It does look like it." Then a slight frown crossed his face. "I just wish I could let us make better use of that bed."

"It will be fine," Sharon replied. I can still sleep next to you."

"As you have done for over seventy years. More than 25,000 nights, Lover."

Sharon smiled. "And neither of us has ever tired of that, have we?" Bob shook his head back and forth, a smile on his own face. She added, "And think how much money we have saved on pajamas."

This brought a small laugh from both of them. From the first time they had always slept nude. The only exceptions had been when they were visiting somewhere where they might be seen by someone else. Even now neither wanted any night clothes.

It was getting on towards sundown. They had eaten supper earlier at a small restaurant before they started up the coast road. Bob dropped their small case onto the bed and turned to Sharon. "Tired yet?"

"No more than usual. Why don't you build us a fire."

"OK, that sounds good." He then easily started a fire in the fireplace. Over the years he had started thousands of fires. In fireplaces and at their many campsites. Both had long been active hikers, campers, kayak users. At least until recently when stiffening joints had begun to limit them. The couple sat on the love seat facing the fireplace and before long a nice blaze lit the hearth.

"I remember the first time we rented a cabin with a fireplace," Sharon said.

Bob smiled. "So do I."

A smile flashed across Sharon's face. She took a deep breath and said, "Yes. It was junior year while we were in college. I don't think we told anyone about that trip. After all, neither of our parents knew we were sharing rooms - or anything else like that - and we didn't want them finding out. We found a place well up in the mountains and fifty miles from school and went up there for the weekend. We planned to hike during the day and then spend the evenings in front of the fireplace. We'd never been able to just sit before a fireplace before."

Bob smiled again. "Yes, as I remember we hiked the first afternoon when we got there and not much at all after that. In fact, as I remember, when we did build a fire we sat in front of it and began making out and I don't think we stopped until three in the morning."

Sharon laughed. "We sure didn't. I believe we were naked after the first thirty minutes and didn't get dressed until nearly noon the next day. We found other things to do."

"Sure did. I think we did them some six times before morning. Then we went for a hike the next afternoon and made that night a repeat of the first one."

"It isn't too surprising that we were both almost too sore to move and were a bit uncomfortable for the ride home."

"True. But our parents never found out about that trip."

"No," Sharon agreed. But you have to admit that both sets made no objection the next year when we were engaged and decided to get an apartment together."

"I think they knew we were quite serious about each other. Or maybe they thought we'd go ahead no matter what they said."

"No, I'm sure they saw how we felt about each other."

After a bit Sharon said, "Why don't we take a glass of that champagne and go try out that hot tub?"

For a second Bob looked seriously at her. "That sounds nice, but are you sure the hot water won't put too much of a strain on your systems?"

"I don't think so. If I start feeling any tightness or anything I'll say so and we can get out. OK?"

"As long as you promise to do that if anything feels odd at all. Ok, I'll pour us a couple of glasses."

They stood up and Bob went to the refrigerator to get the wine. He brought the bottle and two glasses out. "Hey, look at this label. It must be just for this resort. No, looks like they just pasted this one on beside the real label. Among other things it reads, Xanadu elixir. Will rejuvenate and invigorate. Cures what ails you.' Well, we'll just have to see how good it is."

Bob looked over at Sharon and held the bottle up for her to see. Then he noticed she was unbuttoning her blouse. She saw him looking and said, "I assume you want to dress correctly for a hot tub. After all, no one wears anything in a hot tub unless someone else might see."

Bob laughed. "Of course. You know I always like looking at you like that." And that was true. Bob was just as interested in her looks as he had been at eighteen. For that matter Sharon thought the same about him. He quickly began undressing also. When nude he poured two glasses of the wine and returned the remainder of the bottle to the refrigerator.

Sharon went into the bathroom long enough to pick up two of the terry robes which were hanging there. "We might want these when we get out," she commented.

Carrying the wine the couple made their way out to the porch. Bob set the glasses down on a shelf at the edge and then removed the cover from the tub. He stepped into the water and held out his hand to help Sharon in. They sat side by side on the bench and in a half minute Bob asked, "It's not too hot for you is it?"

"No. Actually it feels quite relaxing." She took a sip of the sparkling wine and then pointed to a small sign posted by the tub.

The sign read, "The magic waters of Xanadu. Let them wash away your cares and problems."

Bob laughed. "Well, between the wine and the waters we should be much healthier before we leave." He reached over and turned on the jets, sending a soothing flow around their bodies.

A bit of a chill autumn breeze was blowing, making its way through the screened porch to where the couple rested. However, with the hot water it caused no discomfort at all. They had, in fact, used a hot tub a number of times surrounded by snow and the air temperature down well below freezing and still remained quite comfortable.

For some twenty minutes the couple drank the wine and relaxed in the tub until finally they emerged and donned the robes. They replaced the cover and once again reentered the cabin. Not bothering to put on anything other than the robes, they once again moved to sit before the fire, Sharon with her head on his shoulder and Bob with his arm around hers.

Sometime about ten both happened to yawn and Bob asked, "Tired? Ready to go to bed?"

"That would probably be a good idea. Maybe at eighteen - or even forty - we could stay up half the night and be bright and bushy tailed in the morning, but probably now we need a bit more sleep."

Bob laughed. "Bushy tailed? You haven't been bushy tailed since you started shaving it all the first year we met. But I agree we should probably get some sleep."

Sharon joined his laugh. They rose and closed the glass fireplace doors, turned off the lights and made their way over to the big bed. They began to remove the robes and Bob said, "Just drop them on the chair here. We might want them in the morning or something."

They did that and climbed into the bed. Both somewhat wishing they could do more, they rolled together and locked in a long good night kiss. "I love you," came from both as it had so many thousands of times before.

When Bob opened his eyes bright sunshine was making it's way through the window. Sharon was just beginning to move and he gave her a quick kiss. With a smile she opened her eyes and said, "Good morning, Lover."

"Yes, a very good morning, Lover." He let his hand slide over her bare bottom and added, "I do feel quite well this morning. How about you?"

"I do also. Maybe the magic waters and the wine really do work."

"I'm not sure about that, but for whatever reason I do feel better than I have for some time." He stopped for a few seconds and then said,, "Maybe it's just feeling you." With that comment he let his hands roam over her body, causing her to arch and make sounds of appreciation.

Taking a deep breath Sharon said, "It can't really be that. After all, you do that every morning. And I really do love it. But I will say that it seems to feel especially good today." Then with a smile in her voice she added, "Let's see if the magic waters really have improved things." With this comment she reached between his legs and wrapped her hand around his soft organ.

With surprise in her voice she exclaimed, "I think maybe they really have helped. You seem to be reacting a bit more than you have for some time."

Surprise in his own voice Bob replied, "Yes, it does seem to be doing something, but nothing like it used to." He was growing slightly but not really becoming hard. "Oh, Lover, I wish I could still please you like I used to do."

"You do please me, Bob. As much as ever even if not quite the same way as we did in the past. We're not twenty-three any more. Not even sixty-three. But I love you just as much."

"As I do you." Then with an almost evil smile he said, "But it would be nice if I could still fuck you, you hot piece of tail."

This brought a loud laugh from Sharon. Such language, while totally absent from their normal conversations, had never been at all uncommon during their more intimate activities. "Yes, you raunchy stud, it would be nice. Still, I think we have probably managed at least thirty or forty thousand times over the years. That's probably a pretty good run."

Bob joined her laugh. "True, that's probably a lot - but never enough." She gave his cock a small squeeze. Bob took a deep breath and said, "I suppose we should get up. Want to take a shower with me?"

"Sure, you know I've always loved that."

The pair climbed out of bed and, not bothering to pick up the robes, made their way into the bathroom. Bob shaved and then they shared a quick shower. A few years ago a joint shower often ended with Sharon pressed against the shower wall while Bob pounded her over and over. Now they still enjoyed showering together but their activity was more limited. But they still often washed each other and hands did still tend to roam.

Once out of the shower they dressed and found food for breakfast. They weren't too surprised to find a small sign with the prepared meals that read, "Food to invigorate and revive. Let the magic of Xanadu restore and energize you."

Holding up the sign Sharon said, "They do make this place sound like magic." Then taking a deep breath she added in a wistful voice, "Oh, if only it really were."

Bob turned and kissed her. "You are all the magic I really need, Lover. You always have been."

After they finished eating, he said, "Let's go down to the beach for a little while. Better put on a sweater. It looks like the breeze is still blowing."

"Yes, that sounds good. It looks like a beautiful autumn day out there."

In a few minutes the couple made their way down the short path to where there was a small sand beach with a bench where they could sit and look out at the small waves breaking against the shore. The woods surrounded them on all three sides. Some conifers but mostly hardwoods with fantastic colored leaves. Sharon sat with Bob's arm around her shoulders and her head resting against him.

For ten minutes or so they just rested in silence. Then Bob said, "Remember that little place we rented on the shore of Lake Superior?"

"You mean the trip for our tenth anniversary?" Bob nodded. "That was a wonderful week, wasn't it?"

"Very definitely."

For several minutes they were again silent, each remembering. The place was on an isolated section of shoreline. A little patch of the beach was sand - a course, brown sand - but most of it was composed of the small, round gravel so common on the shore of this inland sea. The small pebbles had been rolled by the lake since the last ice age and were just as comfortable to lie on as a sand surface would have been. The cabin was of log construction, one room, no electricity but propane to power a refrigerator, water heater and heat. Water was actually supplied from a tank up the hill from the cabin and came from a small stream. They could have running water but only at low pressure. There was a wood burning fireplace

That trip had been just after labor day so even away from the cabin they didn't see many people and they had the cabin and surrounding area completely to themselves.

Bob, remembering that trip, quietly said, "Yes, that was fun. As I remember there were even a couple of warm days and we actually lay out on the beach getting a bit of a tan." He smiled at Sharon. "An all over tan, I believe."

"Yes, and remember once we decided to go in skinny dipping. Lake Superior is never warm and we found it was really quite cold. And neither of us wanted to admit it was too cool for us so we stayed in longer than we should."

Bob smiled. "True. When we came out we were nearly frozen. We ran back up to the cabin and I built a fire but it was a half hour before we really warmed up again."

"You mean a half hour until we were warm enough to start really doing things to warm up."

"Things to warm up? Is that what you call them."

"Well, I guess I could say until you were hard enough to fuck me."

Bob laughed again. "It couldn't have been that long. I've never needed that long to be after your hot body."

"I'm sure it was that long although I'll admit we definitely made up for over the next four hours. Three times as I remember."

Bob turned and gave her a nice kiss. "We did seem to always like doing that kind of thing."

For another twenty minutes they sat watching the waves and the color of the leaves as they blew around. Then Bob asked, "Are you warm enough, Lover?"

Almost with surprise in her voice Sharon answered, "Yes. I don't feel cold at all. What about you?"

"Same here. I'm just a bit surprised that I don't with this breeze and the cool air."

"I guess this is just a good day for us. Say, let's take a short walk in the woods. OK?"

"Sounds good."

With that they stood and spent the next half hour moving slowly through the autumn woods. Finally they returned to the cabin. The breeze had grown a bit stronger and suddenly they heard the sound of rain drops splashing on the roof. The shower became a bit stronger, presenting a pulsing curtain over the view out of the window. Suddenly Sharon said, "Let's go out to the hot tub again."

Bob smiled. "That's fine with me. I love seeing you naked."

Sharon swatted his ass. "That's not the reason I was thinking of going out there." Then she smiled and added, "But I'm glad you still like that."

They quickly undressed once more and, picked up the robes where they had left them the last night. Bob went to the refrigerator and brought out the wine from the last night. He poured two glasses and commented, "There are several bottles of this. That's nice because it's pretty good, even if it won't completely cure what ails us." Taking the wine they moved out to the covered porch where the hot tub was located. The air was definitely chilly but as soon as they immersed in the water, they were quite comfortable. The rain had slackened a bit from the first hard shower but was still falling at a moderate rate, making a constant background sound as it struck the roof, the leaves and the water beyond the beach.

They settled on the bench, Bob's arm around Sharon's shoulders again, and just leaned back, listening and watching and letting the jets of hot water ripple against their skin. They sipped some of the wine and set the glasses aside. After a couple of minutes Sharon let her hand rest on Bob's thigh and began to lightly rub a bit. In response Bob let his hand move a bit further and his fingers began to play with her breast, still firm despite the years.

The couple were soon kissing and hands roamed even more. Once when they pulled slightly back from a kiss Sharon said, "Wow! We haven't gone at it this much for a while, have we?"

"I guess not, but are you complaining?"

"Never! Oh, Bob, I've never gotten the least bit tired of making out with you."

"I certainly haven't tired of it either." For twenty minutes they continued necking and petting a lot like they had at eighteen even if not quite so intensely.

They finally finished the wine and decided to go back inside. Climbing out of the hot water the cool air hit them almost like a knife but as they quickly donned the robes the chill immediately disappeared.

Inside Bob once again built a fire in the fireplace. He poured them each another glass of the wine the resort had supplied and they again settled on the love seat in front of the fireplace. They soon began to resume some of their necking and hands again began to wander. This time when Sharon wrapped her hand around Bob's organ it began to harden more than before. In just a couple of minutes it was becoming nearly rigid once again.

In surprise Bob said, "You seem to have brought about a miracle, Lover. I seem to be hard." Then he looked directly at her. "We wouldn't want to waste that, now would we?" Then he quickly said, "But you have to promise you'll tell me if it starts making your chest feel tight. OK?"

Breathing a little fast Sharon said, "I'll tell you but I feel fine now." Then she gave him another squeeze and said, "Want to go to bed, Lover?"

They stood and turned towards the bed. Suddenly Bob caught her shoulder and turned her to face him. He reached and untied the robe, letting it slip from her shoulders to the floor. Without a word Sharon did the same for his robe. Once again they turned towards the bed but suddenly Bob said, "I have a better idea."

With this he took her hand and moved over in front of the fireplace where there was a sheepskin rug. "It's been a long time since we've made love in front of a fire like this. Let's just use the rug."

Sharon smiled at him and answered, "Yes. Too long."

Then for the next half hour neither spoke a word but that didn't mean they were still. No, for that half hour they made love. Not the wild pounding sex that had been common when they were younger but slower loving sex which was also not totally uncommon to them.

When at last they were still, just holding each other close and frequently kissing, Bob breathed, "I've missed that."

"So have I," Sharon responded. "And I'm glad you are able to."

"Maybe it is the magic waters or the special wine. Whatever, I really do fell better than I have for a long time." Then with a smile he said, "Or maybe it's just the magic of your hot body."

Sharon laughed and kissed him. "Whatever, I'm quite happy something seems to have worked."

They eventually rose and put the robes back on and fixed supper, again smiling at the sign which promised the magic of the prepared meals. Afterwards they again sat on the love seat for a while and then once more shed the robes and moved to the rug, although this time their actions were limited to some necking and petting. Finally they closed the fireplace and made their way back into the bed.

The next morning they again woke with sunshine coming in the window. There was also a much larger surprise. They were spooned and Sharon felt Bob's hard rod pressing against the back of her thighs. She turned her head and kissed him. "A most happy surprise. Now, Stud, can you follow through?"

In a surprised voice himself Bob replied, "I don't know but I'll give it a damn good try." He did and for the next fifteen minutes he made love to Sharon. Afterwards they cuddled together and Bob whispered, "I have no idea why but I'm quite happy about things. Not to mention I feel much better than usual. I don't think I've felt any pain since we arrived here."

"I'm just as happy. And now that you mention it, I haven't felt any tightness or anything else like that. Not even in the hot tub or when you're fucking me. Maybe there is magic in the waters here."

Bob laughed. Somehow I doubt that is the real reason. But, just in case, why don't we grab a quick shower and go back out to the hot tub again?"

They did just that and for forty minutes soaked in the hot water. While in the tub Bob began to slowly stroke Sharon's thighs. She suddenly found herself becoming aroused and was sure she was damp inside. She reached over and began to stroke and squeeze Bob's cock and was quite surprised that it began to swell. He didn't reach a full erection but the organ became quite a bit more firm than it was.

They finally left the hot tub and, again donning just the robes, began to fix some breakfast. As they ate Bob asked what she would like to do that day. Sharon looked thoughtfully around, looking out the windows at the beach and the woods. "It looks like a perfect fall day, Lover. We don't have that many more days here so let's take advantage of it."

"Just what did you have in mind, Lover?"

"I'm not sure exactly what. Like I said I haven't felt any problems since we arrived. Even my knees and hips don't bother me. Almost like they were twenty years ago. What about you? Feel like maybe walking a bit?"

"That does sound nice. My joints haven't given me any problem either. I don't know how long this will last but let's take advantage of it while we can. In fact, let's pack something for lunch and see how far we feel like hiking."

"That sounds wonderful! Say, why don't we take one of those bottles of wine and have a real picnic. Like we used to."

"Like we used to? You mean my hot little wife wants to get laid out in the woods after we've eaten?"

She gave a short laugh. "You know I'd love that. And based on yesterday, maybe we could even manage to really do it."

"I will definitely try. We may not be twenty-three any more but somehow it still feels like it. OK, let's dress for a hike." They stood and moved over to where their clothes were. Each picked up a pair of jeans but when Sharon reached for underwear Bob leaned over and whispered, "No bra. I want to be able to molest your lovely tits."

Sharon smiled. "I think I'd like that. Maybe we should even both go commando."

Bob gave a short laugh. "Well, we have done that before and it always made things easier." He took a deep breath and then said, "I can't promise but right now I think I might be able to really ravish you later."

Sharon looked over her shoulder at him. "Oh, I hope so."

They found a small picnic backpack the resort had provided. This had a rolled blanket, plastic dishes, wine glasses and tableware and an insulated compartment for the wine. Ten minutes later with lunch and a bottle of the wine in the pack, the couple headed out the door. Holding hands they began to slowly walk along one of the trails going through the woods. Sharon drew in a deep breath. "Oh, I love that smell. Damp fall woods and clean, fresh air. Like you said, we may not be twenty-three any more but I certainly remember what that was like. And I think I feel the same way today."

Bob leaned over and kissed her. Then hand in hand they started deeper into the woods.

Their walk was slow and easy. They were in no great hurry to get anywhere. They were quite happy just being together and enjoying the wonderful fall day, the glorious colors of leaves and a few fall flowers. Also happy at being able to walk without constantly thinking about their various aches and pains. For whatever reason both felt much better than they had in a long time.

Although they saw no one else, at lunch they moved far off the trail and spread their blanket on the soft mat of leaves. They had brought only things like cheese, dark rye rolls, dried sausage and fruit for lunch. And of course, the bottle of wine.

Sharon commented, "I'm glad we brought all this because I'm feeling quite hungry. More so than usual."

"Same here," Bob replied. "I really do feel much better than I have for some time. And speaking of feeling good, how about another glass of that wine?"

"Trying to get me drunk so you can have your way with me?" Sharon teased.

Bob laughed. "Neither of us have ever been really drunk and I don't think I've ever needed anything to make you feel like me having my way with you, now have I?"

Sharon joined his laughter. "No, I don't think so. After all, it's my way with you as well, but I will take that glass of wine."

Still laughing Bob filled their glasses. He raised his and said, "To life and living it to the full."

Sharon raised her glass in response and, smiling, said, "I can certainly drink to that."

They took a sip and then came together for a long, slow kiss. This was followed by more sips and more kisses until the glasses were empty again. Then they placed the glasses aside and out of their way as they joined in a kiss far longer and hotter than any of the proceeding ones.

When they finally pulled an inch apart to breathe, Bob whispered, "Do you really want to try to make this like one of our old picnics?" As he said this he reached and began to unbutton Sharon's shirt.

Breathing a bit fast she replied, "Yes. Let's see if we can," and began to work on Bob's shirt.

Soon the pair were stretched out on the blanket, now totally bare, and locked in long, deep kisses while the warm breeze caressed their skin. Their actions progressed and for a long time they were coupled in slow lovemaking. This continued until both reached a most satisfying peak within seconds of each other.

As they still clung together Sharon whispered, "Oh, Lover, I wish this could go on and on and on forever."

Bob's quiet reply was, "Maybe it will. I have no idea why we suddenly seem to feel so much better but I don't intend to waste any of it. Maybe we'll even stay out here all night and make love in the moonlight. We used to do that. For however long we can have this, let's just enjoy it. I love you."

"And I love you and will forever."

Just after noon the next day the woman working as maid knocked on the cabin door. "Housekeeping." She repeated the knock and when she received no answer used her key to enter. Then she froze.

Her next move was to the phone and called the office. "Ms Anderson, this is Molly down in the last cabin. It's happened again. This makes four times in the last six months. Two of them this time. That's right, both of them. They are just sitting in front of the fireplace. Holding hands, even. They look so peaceful and even happy."

She listened for a minute and than said, "I know the others have all been natural causes and I can't see anything that makes this look any different. I'll leave everything as it is and you can get the authorities but I'll bet they find it's just natural causes this time, too. I'll be back up there in just a few minutes."

Some time later the several vehicles were leaving. They would do lab work to be sure but the doctor had said he was certain it was just natural causes. At their ages this certainly wouldn't be surprising. Molly stood and watched as the last car turned out onto the road. Just by the sign which said, "Welcome to Xanadu, the last resort."

Somewhere along a trail through the beautiful autumn woods, the couple, feeling young again, stopped for a long kiss. "I love you," Sharon said.

Bob replied, "I love you. And I will forever."
