Chapter 5 – New experiences
Emma was focused on preparing for a client meeting when she was jolted out of her thoughts by the ring of her mobile. It was an anonymous caller.
"Hello," she said.
“Hi Emma, it’s Peter. How are you today?”
“Fine, thanks”, Emma replied tersely.
“Listen, I need you tonight. I’ve a business dinner with a client, and I want you to accompany me. I’ll pick you up at seven at your house. Wear a nice dress, no underwear needed. Any questions?” Peter asked.
Emma tried to gather her thoughts. She had not heard from Peter for over a month and had pushed aside the thoughts about his threats to expose her by sending the video of her having sex with him and his friends to her boss and colleagues to secure a contract with his company.
“Where are we going and what do you want me to do?” Emma asked.
“We’ll have dinner at a new Italian place I heard of, and afterwards, we’ll see what will happen. Are we then set?” Peter requested.
“Yes, ok,” Emma gave in, considering the consequences if Peter sent the video to her boss and colleagues.
“Ok, see you later, I need to go,” Peter said and hung up.
Emma lowered her phone and put it on her desk. She tried to make sense of what had just happened. Now materialized what she had contemplated extensively following the fateful first encounter with Peter. She was uncertain how she felt about the prospect of being Peter’s escort that evening without knowing what exactly would happen. She was fearful, yet strangely excited.
During the afternoon, Emma struggled to focus on her work. She left the office early in the late afternoon and went home. Greg was not at home yet.
She went to her wardrobe and wondered what she should wear that evening. “No underwear needed,” Peter had said. Emma was debating with herself whether to comply with this request. In the end, she settled for a plain but elegant black knee-length body-con dress. It featured a deep V-slit neckline, and the high waistband accentuated her slim waist. She complied with the no-underwear order. Strappy high-heeled sandals completed her outfit. Emma was aware that her outfit was slightly daring, especially since she was not wearing underwear, but she felt good in it.
Greg came home shortly before Emma was to be picked up and found his wife in the living room. “Hi, Hon,” he started, and stopped at the door when he saw Emma in her dress. “Have I forgotten anything?” he asked, surprised.
“No, I am going out tonight,” Emma replied. “Peter called earlier today.”
Greg narrowed his eyes. “Where are you going?” Greg wanted to know. “And what are you supposed to do?”
“He only said that we would have dinner at a new Italian restaurant in town,” Emma recounted what Peter had told her earlier.
“And afterwards?” Greg enquired.
“I don’t know, to be honest,” Emma admitted softly. She was afraid of what could happen after dinner, a knot tightening in her stomach.
“I don’t like letting you go with this bastard without knowing what he’ll do to you,” Greg said, revealing his uneasiness about the situation.
