I landed a pretty good job when I graduated from college, and I took an apartment below a couple who rented both units above me. Buddy and Cindy were pretty wild neighbors. Buddy was in his mid-50's and owned his own welding company. He was about eight feet tall and weighed four or five hundred pounds, none of it fat. Easily the biggest, meanest-looking human being I have ever encountered, he thankfully took an immediate liking to me. His two sons were about 10 years older than me and living out of state, so he took a fatherly interest in me. Well, not exactly fatherly. He liked taking me out with his buddies to the local bar and getting me loaded with the rest of his crew, and I think they all liked seeing a white-collar technical writer like me arm-wrestling guys who could eat me whole in three bites. Just a great guy.

And Cindy...Cindy was more woman than even Buddy could handle. When I met her she'd just turned 45, and she and Buddy had been married for five years, the second marriage for both. She was five-six with honey-blonde hair and deep brown eyes, and had a luscious, ripe body that I wanted to fondle, lick, suck, etc. Me and every other rational male in the tri-state area. She doted on me, not having children of her own, but like with Buddy she was not exactly a maternal presence. They were both far more adventurous and party-hearty than me, and they wanted to get me out in the world more, corrupt me a little bit, get some swagger in my step.
