You arrive in Seattle and as you get off the plane, I greet you and kiss you passionately. It's been a couple of months since we've seen each other because our lives our so busy. But now we've got a whole week together. You've been asking me what I have planned, but I wouldn't tell you. You know it must be something good.

"Did you have a good flight?" I ask after our kiss.

Breathlessly, you answer, "uh, yeah, it was fine. Now will you please tell me what you're planning?"

I grin evilly at you. "You'll find out."

So you look at me for a moment, deciding whether to push the issue. But you decide not to. A surprise might even be fun, you think.

Once outside the airport, we climb in my car and start driving. At first, it looks like I'm just taking you to my house since we're driving north on I-5, but then I take a downtown exit and head toward the ferries. Hmmm, you wonder. And then you realize I have no intention of staying in Seattle as we get in the line for the Port Townsend Ferry. We talk in the car of little things, just happy to see eachother. On the ferry, we go on deck and hold hands for a while, being blown by the wind and watching the gorgeous Puget Sound roll by.
