The Business Executive John J. Jones

Business executives. I've read the fantasies and have had a few myself. But there were more than a few reasons I never imagined it would happen to me. I've been married a long time and I'm in my 40's. I've been at the company for almost as long as I've been married. I hadn't cheated on my wife, probably because my tastes were always higher than my reality checks. In other words, women I thought were attractive were usually also young and looking for attractive, young, single guys with bucks (I don't fit into at least the last three categories). Last, I never really made the first move. Fear, I suppose. Maybe I was afraid I couldn't handle the kind of attractive young women I was interested in (maybe I was afraid I'd get caught?).

So what happened? It was probably a combination of things. My wife was about my age and was going through menopause. She wasn't interested in going to bed other than to sleep. We fought. No, not the usual verbal clashes that we used to have now and then. These were her tearful as well as hateful arguments. I left home often to escape. Although I'm not much of a drinker, It'd come to having wine or cognac to calm down. I'd stay at the office some evenings when I knew it was going to be a bad night at home. I think I was going through a "change of life" at the same time ("womenopause"?)

Anyway, my secretary was on vacation. Bobs' secretary, Joan, had doubled ...
