A Chance Encounter

Jake stood underneath the lone light in the middle of the park behind the swimming pond. He looked up at the vast night sky noticing the full moon in the sky. He figured the light of the moon would be brighter, but the lights from the city kept the real beauty shinning through. Jake could not believe that he was actually standing in the park after midnight waiting for some girl he had only meet that day.

He had been hanging out in the CD shop for no particular reason besides the fact that there was nothing better to do in the small town that he lived in. Her face was that of an angel near perfect and brown hair pulled back into a ponytail. As he was watching her he had not noticed that she had come to stand right across from him.
