I had been going out with Christine for about a year. We had gone to the prom together. We graduated together, but we had never slept together. I'm not sure why, we just never felt the time was right.

That changed one night after a concert Christine's band played. She was in a local band called the Canadian Quartet in which she was the drummer. This concert was their first major event. They were playing at the local civic center and they were the main attraction.
