A Visit to the Chiropractor By nitengale

Sitting in the chiropractor's office, in a lot of pain at the end of the day, proved a very uncomfortable physical experience. In addition, I had dreaded this visit the whole day. It was my first visit to what my friends called the “bone cruncher”, and my fears were as elevated as my pain level. Then I met Dr. O’Brien.

I had never been to a chiropractor, but I had heard stories from others about what to expect, which included everything from the bone crunching details to total pain relief. I dreaded the bone crunching. I had injured my lower back playing tennis and after a week of pain, a close friend referred me to Dr. O’Brien.

“Trust me”, she said, “and you won’t regret your visit.”

So, I found myself in his office lobby in a rather uncomfortable chair, waiting to have him pounce on my extremely sore back. The only redeeming quality was that my friend had given me some of her painkillers and I could feel them begin to work a little, so I hoped they would be in full swing when he began his bone crunching routine.

I wish the hell they would hurry up. This damn chair is not comfortable at all.
