A LASTING BOND

In silence Rowenna slips on naked feet down stairways carved from stone. Rough stone and her feet are delicate. Down and down into gathered darkness. Down steps of hard cold stone.

Beyond the stairways her feet whisper softly along the corridors. Ahead of her a flickering glow. Orange and red and smoke from the sconces. A quiet sobbing sound breathes itself into her shell-like ears. The voice of Morgana, sobbing "Please."

Rowenna's heart beats faster, tremulous within her breast. "Is He with her?" she wonders.

The deep voice she knows so well answers her question. Tones like a viol, rich and somber, stirring sensations within the soft folds at the bottom of her belly, bring her moisture welling. The voice says calmly with a coldness to match the walls of stone: "We will wait; Rowenna will come. And then we will decide."

And so she knows that around the corner her Master awaits her, and her steps quicken. Naked feet padding on cold stone.
