Foreword

Although this series is a new series it is based upon characters and events that are discussed in other stories found here on this site. To fully enjoy this new series I highly recommend you read "The Great Outdoors", "Helping a Friend in Need" and "For All We Know" as they are considered 'prequels' to this story. All written by the same author as this story. The following series is based on a true story.

Prologue

There was hardly any real period of adjustment after Stephanie moved in with me. It just seemed like a natural thing for us. What really struck me as remarkable was how much we had in common and how easily we got along with each other. I've known her for almost 5 years but only recently started really getting to know her since she used to be with someone else during the past seveal years. I gave her the space she needed and did not pressure in any way to be in a relationship with me. Interestingly enough Jerry was not really that upset that his wife had run off with another man. He signed whatever papers he needed to sign for the divorce and even helped her pack some of her things when she returned to get her belongings from their home. She didn't want the house or the car or anything else. She just wanted to leave and he let her. It was all so cut and dry it almost seemed too easy.
